Living inside the box....

Isaac loves to be inside anything boxlike-a laundry basket, his toy basket (0nce he's taken all the toys out of it) or his latest, this empty diaper box. I don't know why being inside something is so much more fun than playing on the floor-but whatever makes him happy!

I love this video because it really showcases most of Isaac's sounds-he is rarely quiet or sitting still-never is he doing both at the same time. Notice the tongue at the end of the clip-it's his latest favorite toy. I can only imagine what life will be like when he starts walking AND talking!

Ewww!!!

Isaac LOVES playing in the tub (which is a little surprising because he only has two rubber duckies and another little boat toy). I let him play while I get ready-it gives me something to do since I can't leave him in there and do something else. Well, this day he was obviously a little too relaxed because as I was putting on my make-up I heard the unmistakable noise that usually means he just filled his diaper-only this time there was no diaper. Gross! So I quickly stood him up and kind of rinsed him off so I could drain the tub and clean the tub (of course I had just cleaned the bathroom the day before). I just sat him on the floor during all of this and he didn't seem to understand there was a problem. In fact, he was thrilled to have another bath. What a stinker!

Santa Baby

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Christmas. I found this Santa hat and booties for Isaac and although he also had a whole Santa outfit, this ensemble was so much cuter!

Isaac's First Christmas

Ok, so I know it's now February...but I figured I'd finally get some pictures from Christmas posted. So, here they are.....
Here's Isaac's first Christmas Eve jammies-so cute!

Here's Isaac with my mom-she said she actually liked this picture of her so I figured it was alright to post it.
We only got Isaac a few gifts because we knew he'd be getting a lot from both sets of grandparents. We got him a little set of plastic balls made by Playskool-he still loves them!
One of Isaac's gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Chapman is a toy that he can use for many years-it's a little desk with lots of buttons and rattles on it. It lights up and plays music-two of Isaac's favorite things!
When Isaac was about 6 months old he started finding the tags on his toys, blankets, clothes, anything! I thought it was just a weird quirk that he had, but there must be other babies who do the same thing becaue I found this little Taggies blanket for him-my parents got it for him for Christmas. It's just a little fleece square with lots of little ribbons dewn in that look like tags. The funniest thing is that he most often plays with the real tag on it. What a crazy kid!
